Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering
(2021-Present):
(2021-Present):
This exciting chapter of life started in the United States of America with my admission to the University of Vermont. During my Ph.D. I will be working under the supervision of Dr. Amber Doiron. She's been a fantastic mentor to me in all aspects. I will be working on two projects and both are about disrupting biofilms (Bacterial Communities that are antibiotic-tolerant).
The laboratory tools/techniques that I have worked with:
Structural and Morphological Analysis
Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FE-SEM)
Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)
X-Ray Diffraction Analysis (XRD)
X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS)
Rheometry
Spectroscopic Techniques
Ultraviolet-Visible Spectroscopy (UV-Vis)
Fourier-Transformed Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR)
Particle Characterization Techniques
Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS)
Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis (NTA)
Biochemical Assays
BCA Assay
Pyruvate Kit Assay
Beta-NADH Assay
Microbiological Techniques
Bacterial Culturing with focus on Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PAO1)
Bacterial Growth Inhibition Test
Antibacterial Test
I'm looking forward to the future and feeling grateful for the past :) .
